Our Team

Our instructors and staff have spent many years studying the martial arts and gaining experience that qualifies them to be excellent teachers and mentors. They have undergone intense training, testing, and certifications and now enjoy sharing their knowledge and talents with our students.

Master Al Garza  (Owner - 7th Degree Black)  Master Garza has over 36 years of Martial Arts experience. He has earned a 7th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, a 4th Degree Black Belt in Modern Arnis, and a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Jujitsu. He has also promoted over 500 of his students, ranging in age from 7 to 60, to the rank of Black Belt. In addition to his accomplishments in the Martial Arts, he has established himself as a strong leader in his community. Through his hard work and contributions he has inspired and lead many to set and reach goals in all areas of life. Kim Garza  (Administrative Assistant) Ms. Garza has been working by her husband's side since he first opened his school in 1976. She trained in the Martial Arts for over 10 years - from 1976 to 1987. Since, her time has been devoted to raising her three children - Ashley, Jacob, and Cody - and helping Master Garza manage the family business. In addition to working in the office, she has also participated in our fitness kickboxing program and she is now an Ultimate Bodyshaping Course instructor.

Ashley Garza Mayes  (Manager of Operations - 4th Degree Black) Ms. Mayes is a 4th Degree Black Belt and has trained in the Martial Arts for over 21 years. She began her training at the age of 2 and she became an instructor when she was 14. She continued to to train and teach at her father's school until she left for college. During her 4 years at Texas A&M, Ms. Mayes continued her training and became an instructor at a Martial Arts school in College Station. After graduating in 2006, she returned to League City to work with her family at Premier Martial Arts. In addition to being a manager, she is still active in the Martial Arts and she is an instructor in our Little Champions program.

Cody Garza  (Instructor/Program Director - 3rd Degree Black) Mr. Garza is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and has trained in the Martial Arts for over 17 years. He began his training at the age of 2 and became an instructor at his father's school when he was 13. In addition to his Martial Arts training, he has trained in Krav Maga, competed in full contact kickboxing, and is currently involved in our Mixed Martial Arts program. Mr. Garza is the Head Instructor for our Little Champions program and he instructs in our After School Martial Arts and Summer Camp Programs.

Master Carlo Falco  (Chief Instructor - 5th Degree Black) Master Falco has been studying the Martial Arts since 1970. He began training with Master Garza nine years later at the age of 15. Since, Master Falco has achieved numerous accomplishments in the Martial Arts including a 5th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, a 1st Degree Black Belt in Jujitsu, and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Modern Arnis. He competed on the tournament circuit for almost 10 years and his specialties are weapons and breaking. Master Falco's diverse background and years of experience have lead him to become a knowledgeable and well-rounded instructor.

Master Ghassan Maghames  (Instructor - 5th Degree Black) Master Maghames is a Kung Fu Master from Lebanon. He is the founder of Golden Dragon Kung Fu and the first Lebanese Black Belt Kung Fu champion. In Lebanon, he worked as a Physical Education teacher, a gymnastics coach, and a Kung Fu instructor. He met Master Garza in 2005 while visiting a former student in the League City area. They became close friends and Master Maghames returned in 2006 to train with Master Garza at Premier Martial Arts. David Fox, Ashley Smith, Mel Clay, Jacob Holzhauser, Daniel Masters  (Instructors - 2nd Degree, 2nd Degree, 2nd Degree, 2nd Degree, 1st Degree Black) These instructors assist with our Martial Arts, After School, and Summer Camp programs and are involved with many special events in our school.

Penny Smith   (Office Support Staff) Ms. Smith provides support to our students in many different ways. From providing assistance at the front desk and pro shop, to helping with belt promotions and the demo team, she is available to help our students in any way that she can.
